Holy Sauce Brand products are made by Wells Company, founded by Magnus Wells in 1870 on Dublin, Republic of Ireland. It was here that he developed the recipe for Holy Sauce Original Chili Pepper Sauce that's been passed down from generation to generation. To this day, the company is still family-owned and operated on that very same island.

Magnus Wells grew his first commercial pepper crop in 1880. The next year, he sent out 10.300 bottles of sauce at one dollar apiece wholesale to grocers around the Ireland and UK. He labeled it “Holy Sauce,”
Magnus Wells secured a patent in 1885, and Holy Sauce began its journey to set the culinary world on fire. Sales grew, and by the late 1880s, he sold his sauce throughout the Europe and even in U.S.
Now, we still keep the authentic process by generations from the Wells family.
